SAS will make every attempt to accommodate patients' appointment requests for an urgent situation that cannot wait until the next regularly scheduled appointment. Furthermore, SAS recognizes that a patient's referral of another family member or friend is a compliment and evidence of their high satisfaction, so it is SAS' honor to welcome family members and friends as new patients to our practice. Our doctors communicate with your family doctor to facilitate a cohesive approach to care and the SAS team will help coordinate your care with other specialty physicians. Of course, a doctor is available to address your concerns on a 24/7/365 basis.

INITIAL VISIT INFORMATION

Our goal is to give you an expert and up-to-date evaluation, and to educate you about any problems we may diagnose. During the initial visit, we will begin a thorough evaluation concerning your problem. Your first visit will include a detailed medical history, physical examination and laboratory tests as necessary. Please allow one and a half to two hours for your appointment. At the conclusion of the visit, the physician will summarize the significant findings and the initial course of action will be outlined. You are always encouraged to ask any questions. It is of the utmost importance to us that you understand the nature and treatment of your problem.

WHAT TO BRING TO YOUR FIRST VISIT

After calling our office and scheduling your first visit you may print the necessary forms from our forms page, including registration and health forms. If you prefer, these forms may also be mailed to you. The Health Questionnaire provides us with detailed medical history information and helps to communicate your concerns and symptoms to the SAS physician. You should bring these completed forms to your first visit.

FEES & INSURANCE

The cost of an allergy evaluation and treatment will vary depending upon your specific problem. Although it is impossible to know the exact charges in advance, we can give you a general idea of the cost of a medical evaluation in our office before you are seen. Please feel free to talk to our business staff at any time regarding financial matters. As a rule, payment for medical services is due at the time the services are performed. However, there are a large number of insurance programs that we participate in. When you provide us with your insurance information we will obtain eligibility and benefit information from your insurance company and submit your claims for you.

If you are a Medicare recipient, our office is a participating facility. We will file all your claims for you. If you have secondary coverage, you can provide us with a copy of your insurance card and we will forward your secondary claims after Medicare pays their portion.
